There exist currently two types of system of cotton baler: the cotton baler of spindles, also known as picker, that removes only the seed cotton and the cotton baler stripper, that is endowed with systems of pulleys, thus removing the entire bolls, the burrs and the involucres.
How functions a cotton baler? The cotton baler possesses a large “fine comb” in that its gaps pull out the entire bolls from the plant, being deposited right behind the comb, on the platform. This part forces the detachment of the fiber that had not been released from the plant.
It is important to mention that right after the harvest of the cotton, the same remains stored in rolls on the farms, before following to the gin.
